Saints re-sign Ray, Milera and Maister

St Kilda SaintsAFTER announcing the season for three players were over earlier this week, the Saints have kept to the three players theme this morning by announcing that Farren Ray, Beau Maister and Terry Milera have all signed contract extensions with the club.

“Farren has proven to be a versatile player and fine clubman since coming across from the Bulldogs. He has had a solid 2013, after a challenging 2012 season and has plenty left to offer,” said St Kilda’s Head of Football, Chris Pelchen.

“Terry has made a strong impact in his first two years at the club, with his pace, agility and goal sense a real feature of his game.

“Despite injuries, Beau has enjoyed a career best season, displaying great character and persistence and being a fine role model our younger players.”

Ray, 27, joined the Saints in a trade after the end of the 2008 season after originally being drafted by the Western Bulldogs with the 4th overall pick of the 2003 National Draft and has played 172 AFL games (97 with St Kilda).

Milera, 25, has 25 games under his belt since  joining the club in a 2011 trade with the GWS Giants that also saw the Saints acquire the rights to Ahmed Saad. club as part of a trade with Greater Western Sydney at the end of 2011.

Maister, 27, was selected by the Saints with the 68th pick of the 2011 National Draft but was originally a member of the West Coast Eagles.  He was delisted at the end of the 2010 season after playing 23 games for the Eagles but made it back onto recruiters’ radars after a good year playing for Claremont in the WAFL
