HAWTHORN has announced a contract extension with another veteran not named Lance, Buddy or Franklin with news out late this afternoon that Shaun Burgoyne will be playing for the Hawks in 2014.
This will be the 14th season for the utility who joined Hawthorn from Port Adelaide after the 2009 season.
Burgoyne, 30, played 157-games for the Power and has notched up 79 for the Hawks so far.
While he has missed the last two games due to suspension, Burgoyne is expected to be selected again this week in what has been a productive season so far, averaging 19 possessions per game through the first 15 games of the season.
Hawthorn will face Richmond at the MCG this Saturday afternoon.
